Details

Mystery, adventure, and Christ-like attitudes take centre stage in these gripping stories set in the early days of Whit's End.

Fight for Kidsboro - Kidsboro is a small town in the woods behind Whit’s End in Odyssey. It’s a nice little place. It has a church, a store, a police station, a bakery, a weekly newspaper . . . and a total of zero citizens over the age of 14. It’s a town run by kids. Ryan Cummings, the mayor, helps enforce the laws, create new job opportunities, and in general, keep the peace in a town where he seems to have lots of friends and only a few enemies.

Danger Lies Ahead - Odyssey is a town filled with wonder, surprises, and even a hint of danger as Mark Prescott, Jack Davis, and their friends learn in these four stories. In the middle of it all is John Avery Whittaker, or Whit as he's known around town. He's the owner of Whit's End soda-shop and "discovery emporium," a place where you'll find adventure in every room.

Strange Journey Back - Mark Prescott is the new kid in Odyssey - and he doesn't want to be there. His parents have split up, and the only one who wants to be his friend is an annoying girl. But not all's bad. There's an amazing ice cream shop called Whit's End, and its owner is a quirky inventor named John Whittaker who seems to create fun and adventure for the whole town. As Mark gets drawn into life in Odyssey, the lessons he learns will change his life.

Great value but not a graphic novel

Sheila| 2022-12-04 17:52

It's a great deal with 3 books each having 4 stories in each one. Each book is thick; however, I was expecting more of a graphic novel style for my 9 year old granddaughter. Without any illustrations, I do hope she will enjoy the stories and stay interested. I separated the 3 books: one for a Christmas hift and the other two for other occasions such as Valentine's Day and Easter.
