Challenging Christians to reach out to non-believers, the Apostle Paul wrote, "How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" (Romans 10:14). Here's an additional challenge: How can we Christ-followers share the Gospel with those who literally cannot hear it? In the U.S. alone, there are about 25 million people with some form of hearing loss, and the deaf community is a mission field the church has largely overlooked or avoided because of the challenges associated with reaching them. On today's broadcast, the Rev. Marshall Lawrence, father of a deaf child and the founder of Silent Blessings Deaf Ministries, encourages Christians to consider how they can minister to deaf children and adults with the love and compassion of Christ.
