Bernard and Connie share several examples of temptation with their special guests on BTV: Solomon and his many wives, Joseph, and a talking heckleberry plant. Each of them faced temptations and had to make a choice. Bernard reminds us when we give in to the "little" it is hard to resist the next bit of temptation, and pretty soon we have said "yes" to the bigger things. Although we cannot avoid temptation completely, he tells listeners that God does not leave us without a way out.
Grady and PJ get swept away in the moment and lose their focus on the real issues at hand. Grady has had enough of Rodney's bullying. He hires Phil to be his body guard and protector. Grady becomes the very thing he is upset with Rodney about. PJ is influenced by Brian Dern's sensational ideas for justice and goes overboard in the campaign to fight selfishness, taking Whit to court for false advertisement when the demand for raspberry ripple suddenly increases and Whit's End runs out of it.
