Francis and Lisa Chan want to challenge the greater Christian community to think beyond the needs and comforts of our own families to follow God’s command to care for and serve others, specifically widows and orphans. For more than 15 years the Chans have invited “needy strangers” into their home to live with them, and recently they became foster parents to a 17-year-old girl. They describe the challenges and joys of that relationship, and how it has helped their family grow in their relationship with the Lord.
