More for believing Christians, not evangelizing to children.

I was going to give this to a 7.5 year old non Christian grand-niece, but there are too many stories of women who were martyred. It didn’t seem a good introduction to Christianity for a sweet little girl.

Wanted to give it 5 stars

We love the variety of stories that demonstrate godly character traits as they happen in real life, giving our girl some great examples to look up to. Our girl also enjoys reading the interesting stories.

A great book to pick up and read one or two stories at a time.

Inspiring biographies to captivate girls in a beautifully presented volume

Sheena| 2021-04-29 21:26

Contained within a beautiful hard-cover volume, these are brief but inspiring biographies that have increased my daughters' awareness of women, both modern and historical, who have lived courageously for Christ. They have even inspired my girls to further research of some of these women. There are a couple of life challenge questions at the end of each story. Though listed as a resource for age 8+, my girls are older (11 and 15) and enjoy them. Another notable feature is the full-page colour illustrations done by different artists. The girls have traced or copied some of them, and even grouped them by artist style. Overall a treasured volume on our shelves.

Devotional style

My girls wanted the stories to be longer, but good summaries.
