Tim Meulhoff has two significant practical applications for me. One is: Allow scripture to speak into daily family life as the Puritans did. Take time to ask questions and allow children to grapple with large life-sized issues while they are young and still at home in the family context. The other powerful application is to write out and pray scripture informed warfare prayers for yourself as well as the people closest to you. This allows you to focus on our source of help rather than on the problems that trip us up. It is a step of faith to commit our struggles to the Lord without trying to solve them ourselves. When we give up on our own solutions, He is able to do FAR more than we had thought possible
