Candy McVicar experienced a traumatic loss of her first baby, Grace, who was stillborn. Candy had suspicions that her baby was at risk but couldn’t convince the medical staff to help her. And worse, during Candy’s delivery of her stillborn baby, the hospital staff were uncompassionate and neglectful, making the whole experience miserable. In the midst of the grief that followed, Candy and her husband struggled in their marriage because they expressed grief differently and didn’t understand those differences. But through Dr. Gary Chapman’s love languages concept, they found a bridge to healing and restoration of their relationship.
