The strong-willed, independent woman she once knew was beginning to get her numbers jumbled, was having trouble getting her words out, and was feeling a tingly numbness in her arms. Though she tried to cover it up, Sarah and her father knew something was wrong. At age 67, Sarah’s mother was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. Sarah shares what it was like watching her mother’s mind deteriorate. She watched her father make difficult decision regarding care, and she often struggled to fully rely on God in these circumstances. She also admits that caring for her mother is often burdensome and inconvenient.
