As a mom with three kids, Courtney Ellis knows the struggle of finding time to connect with God in the midst of motherhood duties like diapers, dishes, laundry and countless to-do lists. Feeling like the Church’s well-meaning message of “try harder” wasn’t helping her handle her spiritual guilt and shame, she embarked upon a year-long experiment of incorporating ancient spiritual disciplines into daily family life.
