The Little Black Funeral Dress

SKU: C03598B

It’s not if, but when. Those who love will also grieve. To our detriment, society would rather sanitize or skip over the topic of grief. Twelve days after her son’s wedding, Shirley Thiessen was thrown into the unimaginable task of planning his funeral. Grief threatened to extinguish her purpose for living. Gradually, hope and resiliency emerged as Shirley learned to participate with God to recycle her painful loss for His good purposes. While everyone’s grief is unique, there are tips to be shared and missteps to avoid.

For someone just hit with the initial shock of grief, this little book can be read in one sitting or in a very short time period. The layout is comforting and not overwhelming and the writer shares her heart in a beautiful way to help you understand the process of grief as she experienced it. I have purchased multiple copies and sent them to many family members and friends walking the journey of grief and have had wonderful conversations and thanks after they receive this precious resource.
